摘要: Apathy is a paradigmatic disorder of motivation, and encountered across breadth neurological psychiatric disease. Importantly, apathy not unitary symptom — rather, it syndrome comprising constellation impairments multiple domains behaviour. Recent work has focused on characterising the distinct neurophysiological mechanisms that give rise to clinical apathy. Although dopamine long been known have central role in complex behaviour, current data indicate its roles learning valuation effort reward may underlie subtypes motivational impairment. A focus future will be map involvement motivated decision-making separate This facilitate only greater understanding neurobiology disorders, but also development targeted, neurobiologically based treatments.
