摘要: Evidence is presented in support of a chromosomal location for sequences homologous to polydnavirus DNA the ichneumonid parasitoid Hyposoter fugitivus. In this study, four different viral genome segments were cloned and used as probes against genomic extracted from male parasitoids digested with variety restriction enzymes. Each probe typically identified single off-size fragment (OSF) case enzymes not cutting segments, while two OSFs generated by at one sites. While extra occasionally observed, these invariably found be due presence polymorphic sites flanking DNA. Analysis data suggests that single, stable locus exists each segment; also indicate cognate DNAs are largely if entirely colinear.
