摘要: Abstract. During several periods since 2005 the Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding (MIPAS) on Envisat has performed observations dedicated to region of upper troposphere/lower stratosphere (UTLS). For duration November/December global distributions temperature and trace gases from MIPAS UTLS-1 mode measurements have been retrieved using IMK/IAA (Institut fur Meteorologie und Klimaforschung/Instituto de Astrofisica Andalucia) scientific processor. In UTLS a vertical resolution 3 km temperaure, 4 H2O, 2.5 O3, 3.5 HNO3 N2O achieved. The temperature, HNO3, N2O, relative humidity over ice are intercompared with Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS/Aura) v2.2 data in pressure range 316 0.68 hPa, 215 3.16 100 1 hPa 10 respectively. general, MLS temperatures biased within ±4 K whole latitude range. Systematic, latitude-independent differences −2 −4 (MIPAS-MLS) at 121 explained by previously observed biases retrievals.
