摘要: Background. There is insufficient data on the radiographic presentation of tuberculosis in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected patients from India. Methods. We examined chest radiographs 181 including 82 HIV positives with newly diagnosed sputum culture positive pulmonary before and after completion anti-tuberculosis treatment (ATT). Patients with smear/culture were treated Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) Cat-I regimen (2EHRZ3/4HR3). An independent assessor blinded to clinical status read the radiographs. Results. At presentation, seropositive significantly more likely have normal (14.2% vs 0), miliary (10.7% vs 1%) pleural effusion (16.6% 3%), less cavitation (17.8% vs 39.4%) as compared negative patients. end treatment, normal radiographs (42.8% 1.2%), fibrosis 42.5%). Conclusions. The HIV-infected atypical less cavitation, dissemination. On ATT, sequelae form of fibrosis. These features may be due reduced inflammatory response that infection able to mount.
