Association of Safe Disposal of Child Feces and Reported Diarrhea in Indonesia: Need for Stronger Focus on a Neglected Risk.

摘要: Indonesia still faces several challenges in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Diarrhea remains a major killer children it is important to understand local diarrhea transmission pathways prioritise appropriate WASH interventions reduce burden. This study used cross-sectional data set from recent national household survey (the 2012 Demographic Health Survey) examine associations between aged less than 24 months with population characteristics. Unsafe disposal child feces was strongly associated an increased odds (OR: 1.46; 95% CI: 1.18–1.82, p = 0.001). However, other practices were not found be associated. The findings underline dangers unsafe highlight need for strengthening related policies program strategies their implementation.
