The limits to 'transnationalism': Bosnian and Eritrean refugees in Europe as emerging transnational communities

摘要: This article explores limitations on the concept of transnationalism, through examination two empirical case studies communities characterized by emerging transnational practices. Mirroring recent shifts attention in migration away from US-based examples established migrant workers, focuses Bosnian refugees UK and The Netherlands, Eritrean Germany. It stresses importance historical context, interconnection social, political institutional factors producing highly uneven patterns activities both within between these groups.
