摘要: PURPOSE: To determine and report the spectrum of ultrasonographic appearances echogenic ovarian foci (EOF) without shadowing in otherwise normal ovaries histopathologic physical characteristics these foci. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The on transvaginal pelvic sonograms obtained 189 patients with EOF were prospectively analyzed. classified according to bilaterality, size, number ( 10), location (peripheral, central, or diffuse). At analysis, resected ovaries, seven 10 foci, a water bath scanned. then localized for correlation. assess properties tissue-mimicking water- glycerol-based phantoms, voids different diameters, scanned 8- 70-MHz transducers.
