摘要: Dose-volume histograms (DVH) are commonly used to represent dose variations in organs at risk (OAR). The DVH is then reduced manageable form and predict normal tissue complication probability (NTCP). In this paper we examine two limitations their applicability optimizing treatment plans for radiotherapy: (1) the impact of choice reduction scheme NTCP biological model on final plan rankings, using human data liver complications, (2) concept partial lung irradiation independent sets rodent (mice, rats). It demonstrated that rankings depend model. Furthermore, rodents indicate existence non-uniform regional effects which will require additional consideration absolute location subvolumes interdependent responses.
