摘要: A tall building may be modeled as a shear beam since its bending is mainly induced by relative sliding of parallel floor slabs. Classical beams do not consider the presence moment. Since moment can originated from tension-compression force couple due to combined effects strong wall-to-wall and wall-to-slab interactions, modified theory cooperating with needed. This paper gives theoretical analysis refined model. Emphasis placed on determination natural frequencies an elastic base such soil carrying lumped mass. The characteristic equation for free vibration obtained. influences translational rotational spring stiffnesses, axially compressive loads attached mass are illuminated.
