摘要: Objective Although some eye-tracking studies demonstrate atypical attention to faces by 6 months of age in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), behavioral early infancy return largely negative results. We examined the effects context and diagnosis on during face-to-face live interactions infants at high familial risk (HR) low (LR) for ASD. Method Participants were 6-, 9-, 12-month-old siblings children with ASD who later determined have (n = 21), other developmental challenges (HR-C; n = 74), or typical development (TD) (HR-TD; 32), low-risk, typically developing controls (LR-TD; 49). Infants administered social orienting probes task, consisting five conditions: dyadic bid, song, peek-a-boo, tickle, toy play. Attention an unfamiliar examiner’s face was coded blinded raters from video recordings. Results At all ages, group spent less time looking than HR-C, HR-TD, LR-TD groups Dyadic Bid Tickle conditions (all p .23). Lower significantly correlated higher severity symptoms 18 months. Conclusion During prodromal stages disorder, exhibited subtle impairments interactive partners involving eye contact child-directed speech (with without physical contact), but not contexts singing, familiar anticipatory games, Considering convergence findings limited diagnosed ASD, reduced specific may constitute a promising candidate marker infancy.
