摘要: Screening is worthwhile when certain criteria are met: a disease has public health importance; an effective treatment exists; interval exists within which can effect benefit; and the neither too rare nor common.1 for diabetes mellitus in those over 40 years of age screening diabetic retinopathy (DR) with known fulfill these criteria.2,3 Beyond improving health-related outcomes, DR cost effective.4,5,6 Thus, value widely recognized. There is, however, controversy regarding best method intervals.7
