摘要: Abstract A novel synthesis process, based on a carbothermal reduction reaction of binary carbonaceous silica aerogels, has been developed for producing nanometre silicon carbide whiskers. The process uses aerogels as precursors. precursors, which are derived from sol and sol, prepared by sol–gel supercritical fluid drying provide high contact area reactants. homogeneous distribution within carbon their loose structure result in the formation purer precursors products investigated TEM, EDX XRD analyses. effect heat-treatment temperature production SiC whiskers is discussed.
