摘要: In an investigation of the evolution third hypervariable loop gp120 (V3), principal neutralization determinant human immunodeficiency virus type 1, we have analyzed 89 V3 sequences plasma viral RNA purified from peripheral blood samples donated over 7 years by infected hemophiliac. Considerable sequence diversity in region was found at all time points after seroconversion. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that important diversification had occurred 3 postinfection and that, subsequently, most could be allocated to either one two major lineages persisted throughout remainder infection. Rapid changes frequency common observation same hexapeptide motif (GPGSAV) crown has evolved convergently provide strong evidence selective processes determine evolutionary fate variants this region.
