摘要: Purpose To determine the prevalence of atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis in patients who have atherosclerosis elsewhere but lack usual clinical clues to suggest stenosis. Patients and methods The arteriograms charts 395 consecutive were prospectively reviewed by a member Vascular Medicine Department Radiology Department. These underwent arteriography as part routine evaluation for abdominal aortic aneurysm (109 patients), aorto-occlusive disease (21 lower-extremity occlusive (189 suspected (76 patients). first three groups did not that Results There was greater than 50% 41 (38%) with aneurysm, seven (33%) disease, 74 (39%) 53 (70%) similar diabetic nondiabetic or stenosis, higher diabetics (50%) compared nondiabetics (p = 0.022). High-grade bilateral present approximately 13% totally occluded arteries occurred 5% these groups. an association between increasing degree presence hypertension worsening function. Conclusion elsewhere, especially high significant even absence suspect Diabetic patients. This information may important therapeutic implications being considered vascular surgery.
