摘要: We evaluated a breath test for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as predictor of breast cancer. Breath VOCs were assayed in 51 asymptomatic women with abnormal mammograms and biopsy-proven cancer, 42 age-matched healthy women. A fuzzy logic model predicted cancer accuracy superior to previously reported findings. Following random assignment training set (64) or prediction (29), was constructed the employing five that 93.8% sensitivity 84.6% specificity. The same no 16/50 (32.0%) on biopsy. two-minute could potentially provide safe, accurate painless screening but prospective validation studies are required.
