摘要: Abstract Two new species of fleas genus Ectinorus (Siphonaptera: Rhopalopsyllidae) are described from sigmodontine rodents (Rodentia: Cricetidae) collected during a survey small mammals in northwestern Argentina. The belong to the subgenus and can be distinguished all other by characteristics modified abdominal segments genitalia. Moreover, male (Ectinorus) disjugis is for first time finding this flea parasitizing rodent Akodon spegazzinii, constitutes flea–host association. A phylogenetic analysis Ectinorus, using traditional morphological characters morphogeometric data, presented support erection Ectinorus. An identification key also provided. Our study increases 38 total number 20 Argentina. Phylogenetic analyses reveal that monophyletic but subgenera not. This offers interpretation diversity within as well an evaluation hypotheses about their relationships.
