摘要: A photographic method is described for measuring the ranges of alpha-particles in liquids whose properties are compatible with emulsion sensitivity utilizing a surface deposit radiocolloid aggregates as point sources alpha-radiation. The has been applied to both water normal isotopic composition and heavy containing 97 percent deuterium oxide. Using polonium radiocolloids source 5.3-Mev 38.1\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5 38.0\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5 microns were measured respective liquids. By conducting exposure at temperatures below freezing also applicable certain solid media. RaF ice found be 41.6\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5 41.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5 microns. integral molecular stopping power computed 1.56\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.02 an alpha-particle energy 5.3 Mev. Similar measurements radium sulfate indicates from RaC\ensuremath{'}, compared value 1.54\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.02. Larger estimates this constant may originate water-air interface effects inherent experiments external detector.
