摘要: Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) is a disorder that can potentially result in permanent impairment. Because there are no adequate comparative studies regarding the additional value of physical therapy (PT) or occupational (OT) for reducing severity impairment RSD, we prospectively investigated their effectiveness. At two university hospitals, randomly assigned 135 patients with RSD one upper limb, existing <1 yr, to PT, OT, control (CT). One year after inclusion, percentages were calculated according general method American Medical Association's Guides Evaluation Permanent Impairment. For statistical evaluation, Wilcoxon's signed-rank test (two-sided; alpha = 0.05) was used. The mean whole body impairments as follows: 21.6% and 19.1%; 22.8% 22.1%; CT, 22.0% 22.1% (intention-to-treat per protocol analysis, respectively). There significant differences between groups. We conclude treated PT OT did not differ significantly from those CT at 12 months inclusion.
