For-profit medical institutions in China: current status analysis and comparison with non-profit ones

摘要: Objectives For-profit medical institutions were officially allowed to enter the Chinese market since 2000, which raised a lot of debate about positioning for-profit institutions. The objective this study was compare non-profit and in terms scale, quality service efficiency, investigate potential for China. Methods Data collected from multiple sources, including China Health Statistical Yearbook, National Services Survey Yearbook. We assessed performance two types three aspects: efficiency. Key findings The result showed that increased obviously cities China. Compared with institutions, have less scale. However, efficiency are mostly same as those Besides, great top coming future. Conclusion For-profit realized development A quite large still exists because increasing demand improving insurance system long-term depends on policy design establishing implementing fair systems evaluation, technology accreditation talent assessment.
