摘要: Early life adversity has known impacts on adult health and behavior, yet little is about the gene–environment interactions (GEIs) that underlie these consequences. We used fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to show chronic early nutritional interacts with rover sitter allelic variants of foraging (for) affect exploratory a phenotype critical for foraging, reproductive fitness. Chronic during adulthood did not or behavior; however, in larval period increased but behavior. Increasing gene expression mushroom bodies, an important center integration brain, changed amount behavior exhibited by adults when they experience had no effect sitters experienced adversity. Manipulation environment also affected output rovers, indicating GEIs fitness itself. The natural are excellent model examine how biological embedding experience.
