摘要: Abstract Biotemplates from microbial origin have been used as a new source of inspiration for designing and fabricating novel functional materials. Herein, we reported MnO/C microtubes prepared by using spirogyra, green algae growing widely in natural water, the template. Due to unique filamentous shape abundant organism porous carbon tube with wrinkle surface has fabricated. The MnO nanoparticles are set embedded into matrix, which leads tube-like composite as-prepared spirogyra-templated exhibit reversible electrochemical lithium storage capacity high 610 mAh g1 at 200 mA g1 after 60 cycles, an excellent rate capability 350 mAh g1 current density 2 A g1. Considering vast options materials, this green, facile economic biotemplating method will provide considerable freedom structural variability can be extended other promising performance anode materials future development energy
