摘要: Abstract The increasing amount of oil wastewater is causing serious damage to the environment. Oily water a worrisome by-product industry due its growing volume in mature basins and complex chemical composition. Low-cost polymers are being used as alternative materials treat oily waters after treatment by conventional methods, grease (O&G) concentration primary parameter for final disposal. In this respect, guar gum can be petroleum-contaminated waters, with advantage low-cost, highly-hydrophilic natural polymer. study, gum, under specific conditions, shapes itself into three-dimensional structures interesting physicochemical properties. salting out effect occurs reticulation polymeric chains borate ions presence electrolytes, reducing solubility network solution leading an electrolyte- polymer-rich phase. When gel was prepared situ produced water, effect, imprisoned interstices collapsed gel. gelling highly efficient synthetic waters. case initial O&G above 100 ppm, removal percentage 90%.
