摘要: Abstract Uterine electromyographic activity in the pregnant rhesus monkey showed two types of episodic electrical events, defined on basis duration episodes. One these (designated type I this report) was characterized by frequent bursts that lasted from 0.5 to 1.2 minutes (mean duration, 0.64 ± 0.007 [SE] minutes) and occurred at frequencies 10 45 per hour. The other observed (type II) consisted fragmented series discharges 2 15 5.45 0.12 0 6 frequency events a circadian pattern low amplitude with maximum night animals minimal uterine manipulation (electrodes only). This daily amplified during 8 days preceded delivery. Hysterotomy fetal catheterization induced increase akin predelivery period. Fetal death abolished high-amplitude variation both postoperatively These data indicate fetus plays role regulation monkey.
