Observation of an electric field-induced interface redox reaction and magnetic modification in GdOx/Co thin film by means of depth-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy

摘要: We study an electric field-induced redox reaction at the interface of GdOx/Co thin film, by means soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The fluorescence-yield depth-resolved XAS analysis reveals that interfacial Co layer is composed ∼50% oxide when negative field applied, while metallic dominant in case positive field. suppose oxidized oxygen migration from GdOx with shows state field, which induced In addition, it found magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) measurement orbital moment larger applied to as compared Moreover, XMCD no or little magnetization regardless for inner layer, increase suggested modification could be attributed change due modifications. thus succeed direct observation reaction-induced state.
