摘要: Epilepsy (from the Greek epilambanein, to surprise) is a widely diffused neurological disorder that affects lives of about 1% Western population. Although classification different kinds epilepsy goes beyond scope this chapter, it necessary underline what actually called status epilepticus consists in series tonic-clonic seizures with no complete recovery between. The neuronal activation and subsequent damage during serial have been investigated for several years now, elucidating many mechanisms follow cell overstimulation. Few attempts, however, made connect areas which scientists carry out their studies: Physiology biochemistry, instance, seldom merged single investigation. This chapter describes one such study, physiological parameters correlated biochemical events an animal model epilepticus.
