摘要: Context. Compact binary supersoft X-ray sources (CBSS) are explained as being associated with hydrostatic nuclear burning on the surface of a white dwarf high accretion rate. This mass transfer rate has been suggested to be caused by dynamical instability, expected when donor star is more massive than accreting object. When orbital period smaller ∼ 6h , this mechanism does not work and CBSS such periods believed fed distinct mechanism: wind-driven accretion. Such proposed explain properties objects like SMC 13, T Pyx V617 Sgr. One observational property that offers critical test for discriminating between above two possibilities change. Aims. As systems evolve increasing periods, some them may reach quite long periods. The may, therefore, also applied longer 6 h. CAL 87 an eclipsing system in LMC 10.6 h could provide opportunity testing hypothesis powered Methods. We obtained eclipse timings show its increases P/ u P =+ 7.2(±1.3) × 10 years. Results. Contrary common belief, we conclude first confirmed case
