摘要: The present invention relates to a novel method for forming metal matrix composite bodies and produced thereby. Particularly, polycrystalline oxidation reaction product of parent an oxidant is first formed. thereafter comminuted into appropriately sized filler material which can be placed suitable container or formed preform. preform contact with alloy in the presence infiltration enhancer, and/or enhancer precursor infiltrating atmosphere, at least some point during process, whereupon spontaneously infiltrates As result utilizing crushed product, enhanced (e.g., rate amount) achieved. Moreover, are produced.
