摘要: The two-stage process is for drying and conditioning expandable styrene polymers (EPS) obtained by suspension polymerisation in presence of blowing agent, followed separation on a centrifuge to give EPS with residual moisture content ca. 2% an average particle diameter 0.1-3.0 mm. comprises : (a) passing the (1) through drier (2) first gas stream (3) temperature 20-40 degrees C, gas/EPS ratio 1.3-1.9 kg/kg residence time 0.05-0.2 minutes then separating from gas, (b) contacting second (7) (8) at 240-480 product inlet outlet 0.15-0.6 kg/kg, flow same and/or opposite direction flow, being divided into different streams (9), fed levels one above other re-dissipitated between these levels.
