摘要: The perception of a pair contours in retinal image cannot be understood simply by adding up the perceptions individual contours. We compared configurations three psychophysical experiments. results experiments were analyzed so that quantitative comparison perceived was possible. Thresholds estimated substantially lower from perpendicular junction than single contour or non-perpendicular junction. lowest thresholds observed parallel suggest visual system is sensitive to junctions and image.
