摘要: Summary  Blue light curing units (wavelengths of 400–500 nm) are a mainstay restorative dentistry, and several high-intensity sources have been developed to polymerize resin composites more rapidly. The biological safety visible has assumed, but some reports adverse effects blue in non-dental contexts support further evaluation the light. current study tested hypothesis that provokes cell stress responses resulting secretion cytokines or expression heat-shock proteins (HSP) monocytes. Human monocytic cells were irradiated with three (quartz-tungsten-halogen, plasma-arc laser), then cellular proliferation, inflammatory cytokine TNFα induction HSP72 measured. Results indicated although all significantly inhibited proliferation monocytes, was not induced following exposure potentiated administration activator lipopolysaccharide. Similarly, treatment light, which caused largest temperature increase previous studies, did induce HSP72. results do activation monocytes by as an risk factor dental tissues during composites. However, should be verified primary animal model before decisions about clinical risks made.
