摘要: The authors compare information on soil maps of the Sao Paulo region, Brazil (obtained by four different methodologies) with ground truth data and a preexisting semi-detailed map. methodologies for compiling new included: (1) conventional (field) cartographic methods; (2) air photo interpretation; (3) automated processing radiometric data; (4) use in conjunction analysis planimetric/altimetric observations. remote sensing produced similar to detailed map substantially better than pre-existing one. utility these techniques surveys at rather large scales, tropical mapping general, is assessed.
