摘要: Stress distribution in incompressible or undrained soil is important to the engineer, but usual finite difference and element methods break down for materials. A revised procedure described which pore pressure treated as another unknown. Specific application made linearly elastic materials; however, technique can be used other stress-strain relations. The paper shows form of elements, that a lumped parameter model equivalent method. Results sample problem illustrate insensitivity vertical stress compressibility show larger effects on components.
