摘要: Aim: Curcumin has proven properties such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and it also accelerates wound healing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the level superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme, in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF), impact nonsurgical treatment on antioxidant profile using 0.2% curcumin strip local drug delivery. Materials Methods: A total twenty subjects age 35–55 years 15 with chronic periodontitis, each bilateral 5–6 mm probing pocket depth, were selected for study. Healthy group consists 5 sites which no bleeding probing, depth. Group I – It scaling root planing (SRP) done (control group). II sites, SRP followed by placement inside (SRP + strip) (test GCF collection preoperatively postoperatively after 21 days. SOD activity assessed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: In study, all clinical parameters significantly reduced test control sites. Further, levels improved when compared Conclusion: Thus, present concluded that can be effectively used an adjunct periodontitis serves subgingival environment.
