摘要: CuII complexes of Schiff-base ligands with a general formulation o-HOC6H4CH=N–(CH2) n –N=CHC6H4OH-o, where n = 3–6 have been prepared and their e.p.r. spectra investigated in order to determine the effect flexible methylene backbone length on structure. The room temperature 77 K compounds, 3 4, are typical axially symmetric ground state g ∥ > g ⊥. When 5, other hand, complex gives an isotropic spectrum at temperature. For 6, g ⊥ appears be greater than g ∥. g iso value increases gradually from 6 indicating deviation planarity. Simulation for shows presence two distinct Cu2+ sites equal probability. Q-band this compound exhibits narrowed signal indicative exchange coupling. is consequence intermolecular electron giving pseudo d2 z state.
