摘要: ABSTRACT Wave equation–based migration velocity analysis techniques aim to construct a kinematically accurate model for imaging or as an initial full waveform inversion applications. The most popular wave method is differential semblance optimization, where the iteratively updated by minimizing unfocused energy in extended image volume. However, optimization suffers from artefacts, courtesy of adjoint operator used imaging, leading poor convergence. Recent findings show that true amplitude plays significant role enhancing optimization's gradient and reducing artefacts. Here, we focus on pseudo‐inverse horizontally Born operator. For laterally inhomogeneous models, required derivative with respect vertical shift. Extending vertically evaluate such costly impractical. inverse can be simplified homogeneous models. We derive extension approach apply formula efficiently. implementation applying condition utilize relationship between source receiver wavefields Specifically, verify effectiveness using Marmousi term lateral inhomogeneity treatment has relatively small impact results many cases. then invert macro‐velocity model, which serve inversion.
