摘要: The effect of capsaicin on the isolated sciatic nerve rat was studied by extracellular recording membrane polarisation. Capsaicin depolarised nerve, but desensitization occurred rapidly upon repeated administration. Several other neuroactive substances, including substance P, were inactive. depolarisation reduced in nerves depleted unmyelinated fibres neonatal treatment, suggesting that it occurs mainly C-fibres. This depolarising action could explain irritant and acute antinociceptive properties capsaicin.
