摘要: THE magnetic properties of cobalt salts have been studied theoretically by Schlapp and Penney1 under the assumption that there is one ion in unit cell. To account for anisotropy susceptibility, with three different principal values, they had to assume was acted upon a field predominantly cubic symmetry on which superposed lower (rhombic) symmetry, but were not able draw any definite conclusions. The discovery Bleaney Ingram ammonium sulphate, two ions cell, each has completely axial within experimental error, makes it possible more detailed conclusions from their general theory.
