摘要: Abstract This paper examines a potential confirmation bias in price perception consequence to real-world event and different explanations for such bias. In panel design conducted 2 months before after raise value-added tax (VAT), 303 participants had estimate the current prices four products affected not by this VAT anticipated or recalled of these products. Before increase, an undifferentiated belief strong future increases was prevalent. After found: retrospect, reported that were significantly higher than official development line with marked increases. Two theoretical bias, i.e., biased use information selective distortion memory, fit data.
