摘要: Abstract Remains of Triassic vertebrates discovered in the Villany Hills (SW Hungary) are described here. After well-documented Late Cretaceous Iharkut locality, this material represents second systematically collected assemblage Mesozoic from Hungary. Fossils were both classical abandoned road-cut at Templom Hill (Templom-hegy) and a newly site construction zone located 200 meters west road-cut. Macrofossils mainly isolated bones teeth nothosaurs Templomhegy Dolomite, including fragmentary mandible referred to as Nothosaurus sp. placodont tentatively assigned here cf. Cyamodus Affinities these fossils suggest Middle (Ladinian) age shallow marine deposits. New palynological data prove for first time (Carnian) lower part Meszhegy Sandstone Formation.
