摘要: With infrared spectroscopic microscopy using synchrotron light, the authors studied resonant light scattering from single metal nanowires with diameters in 100nm range and lengths of a few microns. The Au Cu were electrochemically grown polycarbonate etched ion-track membranes transferred on infrared-transparent substrates. Significant antennalike plasmon resonances observed good agreement exact light-scattering calculations. depend not only length diameter but also dielectric surrounding nanowire. maximum extinction at resonance corresponds to an electromagnetic far-field enhancement by factor about 5.
