摘要: The present study aimed to standardize isotonic (IT) and isokinetic (IK) eccentric exercises by equalizing the amount of work angular velocity at two intensity levels, be able compare specific effects these exercise modes on neuromuscular system. Fourteen subjects participated in three test sessions consisting IT IK sets a customized dynamometer. were comprised 8 contractions knee extensors 120% maximal repetition (1RM) first sessions, 100% third session. performed same mean stopped when corresponded set. External work, Root Mean Square (RMS) electromyographic activity superficial muscles quadriceps femoris calculated. Results showed concordance for each Both involved number repetitions fewer mode 1RM. Work RMS values remained steady all sets. This allowed standardization exercises, step before determining their function.
