摘要: Objectives: The preservatives benzalkonium chlorid (BZC) and potassium sorbate(PS) are wideley used, not only for nasal drops, but also for eye drops cosmetics. However, there have been many reports about side effects to be result of irritation induced by BZC PS. Material Methods: PS were administrated to the noses 44 male rats one four weeks long and then histological clinical changes investigated. Results: Symptomatic suh as sneezing rubbing observed in almost all groups 6th day administration. light microscope induced nasal lesions noted. symptomatic histologic pronounced with prolonged duration of administration. Conclusion: It is concluded that both harmful effects on respiratory ephitel rat. Key words: Benzalkonium chlorid, Potassium sorbate, Nasal mucosa.
