摘要: The femtosecond optical response of noble metal nanoparticles and its connection to the ultrafast electron dynamics are discussed in light results high-sensitivity pump−probe experiments. physical origins nonlinear responses vicinity surface plasmon resonance interband transition threshold analyzed using extension theoretical models used bulk materials. These contain information on interaction processes (electron−electron electron−phonon scattering) that can thus be directly investigated time domain. Their size environment dependences discussed, compared ones Time-resolved techniques also permit direct study vibrational modes and, particular, determination their damping, which is a sensitive probe nature surrounding matrix interface quality.
