Humiliation in the virtual world: Definitions and conceptualization

摘要: The cyberspace represents a platform for social relations which permit to be in touch with the World, “seen” by others and “see” others. As new technologies emerge, ways of viewing are revised, especially through screens: though it has facilitated communication, main innovation virtual world been seeing, hearing showing everything individual at center permanent interactions. But this overexposure can dangerous: attempting as much part self-exposition, individuals expose themselves potential sources humiliation. This exploratory analysis will outline literature concerning humiliation world. By looking interaction occurring Internet, shown that dialectic exchange between “being seen” “seeing” exists trap leads humiliation, henceforth called “cyber-humiliation”. It also attempted differences cyber-humiliation contemporary society.
