摘要: As the understanding of genetic etiology childhood cancers increases, need for involvement experts familiar with provision counseling this population is paramount. In October 2016, American Association Cancer Research organized AACR Childhood Predisposition Workshop in which international pediatric cancer predisposition met to establish surveillance guidelines children predisposition. Identifying whom, when, why, and how these should be implemented essential. Genetic counselors invited workshop provide a framework oncology professionals article. Points entry recommendations regarding timing initial subsequent sessions are addressed. The testing processes reviewed, psychologic impact related explored. Pediatric genetics will continue grow evolve as field, services vital ensure appropriate identification management at-risk moving forward. Clin Res; 23(13); e91–e97. ©2017 AACR.
