摘要: • Background and Design.— Although the association between streptococcal infection guttate psoriasis is well known, to date there has been little information on whether only limited groups and/or serotypes of β-hemolytic streptococci are involved. One hundred eleven patients with a sudden onset or deterioration were investigated for evidence infection. Of these patients, 34 had acute psoriasis, 30 flare chronic 37 plaque 10 other types psoriasis. Results.— Serologic recent was present in 19 (58%) 33 compared seven (26%) 27 exacerbations Streptococcus pyogenes isolated from 19(17%) all 111 (9 [26%] four [13%] five [14%] psoriasis) (7%) 101 control population being seen treatment viral warts. Other found equal frequency study populations. Thirteen isolates different obtained 64 These similar distribution prevalence those local community. Conclusions.— This confirms strong prior S but suggests that ability trigger not serotype specific. ( Arch Dermatol. 1992;128:39-42)
