摘要: The present disclosure relates to improved processes for treating hot sulfur-containing flue gas remove sulfur therefrom. Processes in accordance with the invention include preparing an aqueous slurry composed of a calcium alkali source and reactive silica and/or alumina, heating above-ambient temperature period time order facilitate formation sulfur-absorbing silicates or aluminates, heat-treated compounds. Examples disclosed herein demonstrate utility these achieving capabilities. Additionally, is provided which illustrates preferred configurations employing both as dry sorbent injection use conjunction spray dryer bagfilter. Retrofit application existing systems also addressed.
