摘要: Three methods, the Horvath-Kawazoe (HK) method, Jaroniec-Gadkare-Choma (JGC) one and Density Functional Theory (DFT), have been applied in characterization of microporous structure several activated carbons. The samples were all based on same parent material, that was subjected to various oxidative treatments, using solutions concentrated HNO3 at temperatures (298, 333, 363 reflux 383 K during 3 hours) or H2O2 concentrations (1, 5 10 M). nitrogen adsorption isotherms solids, studied 77 relative pressure range 10−6 < p/p0 0.99. Only isotherm parts up a 0.2 taken into consideration for obtaining micropore size distributions. evaluation method suitability how well each describes experimentally obtained data. three methods describe satisfactorily experimental results, including transitions related stages filling. effects treatment as judged from their distributions, are also discussed.
