摘要: Commodity agriculture and civic represent two distinct types of farming found in the U.S. today. is grounded on belief that primary objectives should be to produce as much food/fiber possible for least cost. It driven by twin goals productivity efficiency. Civic agriculture, other hand, represents rebirth a more locally oriented food system. Using data from 1992 1997 Censuses Agriculture secondary sets, we examine factors conditions associated with presence growth both agriculture. Our findings show particular commodities specific social, economic demographic characteristics localities. sensitive classic production, namely, land, labor, capital.
