摘要: Focusing on the example of Inherit Wind , this essay explores porous border between artistic and legal fields, highlighting power a popular cultural product to rewrite history. The play by Jerome Lawrence Robert E. Lee fits Pierre Bourdieu’s conception field production almost perfectly, explicating play’s trajectory position, especially with regards value popularity. At same time, precisely because its popularity, also transcends role that bourdieu assigns works art. like ghost moving through walls, piece has entered new spaces, one which is universe. article investigates phantasmal energy symbols migrate from another, undermining their separateness distinctness. in so doing, it questions schemas power—like bourdieu’s—in so-called culture relegated dominated position.
